Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis

There is a likelihood that a baby can be born with a genetic condition inherited from either parent. Thanks to the ever going advancements made in the field of fertility medicine, it is now possible to detect an inherited disease before pregnancy. Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is a treatment which has the ability to check the genes or chromosomes of the embryo for a specific genetic condition.
